A return to something more familiar and simpler.

Protoman or Blues, or “Balusu Sama!! :3” to his Mega Mob of fangirls who all seemingly claim individual ownership of him, somehow... In the style of the newest addition to the Megaman Franchise.

I’ve leaned towards a more traditional look as opposed to the Battle Network version, which I’ve never really cared much for (Zero is the Bishie not Proto!).

Complete with his trademark scarf (I have a fondness for characters with scarfs) and his now arm mounted shield, and not forgetting the all concealing shades. Also included in the picture is his FM Partner Proteus, who inhabits the shield in this form and can be used for ranged attacks.

Probably the hardest part of this was making the energy patterns look convincing enough. For the first time in my artwork I’ve utilized an external program to blur the effects and merge the colour shades. It may work for you or not, but I personally think it looks better this way then the original version did.

Note: There is definitely no evidence of Protoman being anywhere in the game, so this design is nothing more then a fan-piece till a possible official version is released at a later date.
